m/v E-Ship 1 uses 4 sailing rotors. The rotors are 25 meter high and have a diameter of 4 meter. The rotors are also called Flettner rotors and work on the principle of Magnus-effect. Anton Flettner (1885-1961) was a german physicist who first demonstrated the principle. Heinrich Gustav Magnus (1802-1870) was also a german physicist and the inventor of the principle.
